Residency Artist Dimitris Theocharis Wins Inspire Prize 2025
We are pleased to announce that visual artist Dimitris Theocharis, who completed the 2024 Arts & Science Residency, has been awarded the Inspire Prize 2025 by MOMus–Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki.
The award recognizes the artistic work he developed during his three-month Art & Science Residency program, organized by the Strong Group research team at the Center of Gravity. During his stay, Theocharis had the opportunity to gain direct insight into the Niels Bohr Institute’s research on gravity, black holes, and the detection of gravitational waves. His residency resulted in the creation of Resonance (2024), a work now on permanent display in the Institute’s historic building.
The prize will be presented on Thursday, 18 December 2025, at 12:00, at MOMus–Museum of Contemporary Art. During the ceremony, Theocharis will discuss his work in an open conversation with the public.
