The paper "Key Science Goals for the Next-Generation Event Horizon Telescope” by the ngEHT collaboration, where Vitor Cardoso was Working Group leader and Yifan Chen Topic Leader, was selected as the winner of the Galaxies 2023 Best Paper Award. The award is determined by the committee based on an overall evaluation of the originality and significance of the papers, considering citations and downloads. The publication covered all the fantastic science that can be done with very large baseline interferometry, specially that regarding black hole physics.
