On a wind-whipped day, June 14, 2025, in Roskilde, members of the Strong group embarked on an adventure to learn the Viking tradition that is rooted in the land that hosts us.

At the 'Vikingeskibsmuseet', we traced the sinews of history in the shadow of five original Viking longships and discovered ongoing efforts in experimental archaeology to reveal the secrets of the past. Armed with this knowledge and inspiration, we set out toward Roskilde Fjord in a traditional Faroese boat. The powerful wind nullified the sail, so we became the driving force—oars dipping in and out in a collective exercise of camaraderie, cooperation, and endurance. Rowing together, we bridged centuries, discovering that progress, much like navigation, is less about waiting for perfect conditions and more about working hard, with the right company, to achieve our collective goals.
